Solar heat is the transformation of the free solar heat into usable heat energy for heating support and to warm up drinking water. The SonnenEnergie GmbH supports you with the installation of a solar heat plant, from the stocktaking, over detailed consultation and an extensive offer, up to the completely installed solar thermal power station.
A solar heat plant produces warmth from sun exposure. Solar collector installed on the roof or the facade catch the sunlight and warm up the special liquid contained in them (a mixture of water and antifreeze) to up to 90 °C. The heated liquid is transported by a tubing system to a heat exchanger, which delivers the warmth to a solar storage.
The solar storage functions in principle as a thermal can. It makes the warm water available whenever it is needed in the house. So you can use solar warmed water at any time and also on rainy days. In the winter and during longer bad weather periods an additional heat source is needed in our latitudinal lines for the support of the solar heat plant, like e.g. a conventional gas or oil heating, a chimney oven, a heat pump or a pellet boiler.
Even though in other parts of the world the sun exposure is more intensive than in Germany, our latitudinal lines have a considerable potential of solar power. On average, the sun exposure per year lies within approx. 950 to 1,200 kWh/m2 (kilowatt-hours per square meter), which corresponds to the energy quantity of over 100 liters of heating oil per square meter. Thus a substantial quantity of energy is supplied to each household completely free of charge and environmentally neutral.
